About

I am a software engineer based in Geneva, Switzerland, working in TypeScript, Go and C#. I created @michi-vz, an open source data visualization library with 22 chart types for React, Vue, Svelte, Angular and web components.

I started building for the web in Hanoi in 2014, working on e-commerce front ends for agencies before moving to Geneva, where I still live and work today. I stopped sorting myself into the front-end or back-end box somewhere along the way; the interesting problems rarely respect that boundary. Most of my code these days is TypeScript, Go and C#.

Outside work I maintain @michi-vz, a chart library that grew out of frustration with charts being locked to one framework. The same engine now renders to SVG, Canvas and WebGPU behind wrappers for React, Vue, Svelte, Angular and plain web components.

When I'm not at the keyboard I practice calisthenics and learn saxophone on a Yamaha YDS-120. I built my own practice tool for it, because of course I did.
